The Cyanotype Pictures created form four night scenes in the savannah.
Everything is included to discover the art of cyanotype printing and is suitable for older children through to adults wanting to have a go at this old technique. This technique was discovered in 1842 by the English astronomer and chemist John Frederick Herschel, during his research on the effects of light.
This photographic process is carried out with photosensitive paper which reacts to light and makes exposed areas appear in a Prussian blue colour.
